WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Alice P.
My purpose for starting the Strength Project was to be pain-free and feel strong again. At the start, I had painful knees which bothered me while I slept, getting out of bed, sitting down and standing up, everything was painful. Now it's 150% improvement. The first time in a long time I've been able to do squats with no pain. I can play hockey again and recover in only a day instead of a week. There was one game of hockey where I was just a killer on the field because I didn't feel restrained by pain. It's been a great experience to see how far I've come in just 6 weeks.
If you continually run into the same problems you've got to try something different, and the Strength Project was definitely different for me.

I originally did the Strength Project 2 years ago with spine, hip and shoulder injuries which stopped me from doing a lot in the gym out of fear of injuring myself more and causing more pain. When joining the Strength Project it was quite amazing, my first deadlift was 85kg which was a big thing for me. I realised my body wasn't as broken as I thought it was.
After 13 months travelling, I came back again to join the Strength Project again. My biggest lessons this time around is it's ok to take 1 step back so you can take 2 steps forward. This time around I squatted 70kg, a PB for me, which I'm pretty happy with because I have a hip labrum tear and thought I'd never be able to squat again.
With injuries, it's hard when you're so invested in looking after yourself and there's something you can't do all of a sudden, you feel frustrated, helpless and you feel like it's the end. So I'm thankful I've found the Strenght Project and ETR.

It had been a long time since I’d been to a gym before I started at ETR. The style of training and the great
coaching has made it very easy to get engaged. I’m loving the training and enjoying the results of feeling stronger. A Personal Best Deadlift of 150kg certainly surprised me. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead. Thanks to Jason and the ETR crew.

Wanted to feel stronger. I would always start things and never follow through. I know where I want to be but I'm not sure how to get there and I just don't want to take risks out of fear of hurting myself. I feel like I needed this. I needed someone to look over me and guide me in the right direction. Now I feel like I'm doing the right things and hurting myself less. For the first time in my life I can do a full body push ups. If you feel stuck, going through all the generic gym approaches and not getting results you have to change your approach and the Strength Project is the best place to start.
