Meet The Team

Building resilience is a fundamental factor of becoming strong. This I've learned the hard way by smashing my body with sport in my younger years and never really giving it the respect it deserved when the injuries came along. I learnt to ignore the pain and continue on striving towards my goals, until I lost the ability to walk and the use of my hands. I was no longer "response-able" = "dis-abled" and it's taken years to rectify all the wrong I was doing.

I've travelled the world seeking wisdom from some of the best strength coaches, practitioners, movement specialists and every day no bodies to finally understand how my pain, my strength and my body. This is what I do for people today and I feel blessed to have learned the lessons I have. I have specialised knowledge in Rehabilitation & Strength techniques using Kettlebell & Barbell training from which I draw to help people understand their pain and turn it into their strength.

It starts with a simple conversation.

As a kid I was pretty inactive and quite overweight until I started training with my first coach at 16 years old. The changes I made to my life really had a huge impact on me and it was all because of that initial guidance I received. That's what pushed me to be a coach and I was further inspired by my experience in working with clients in pain and seeing the impact that you can make on peoples lives.

Coaching is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done, the life changing impact a good coach can have on people, not just physically but also emotionally and mentally, is what drives me every day.

I grew up sport obsessed, yet never spent any time in the gym preparing my body for the high levels of competition due to a lack of knowledge and resources. I never experienced any severe injuries until my body finally gave out when I suffered two severe knee injuries and subsequent reconstructions. This is an all too common story for many athletes, particularly female athletes. It taught me a lesson the hard way that physical preparation is essential for longevity. Through my own rehabilitation I fell in love with the process and decided I wanted to be a part of this journey for others.

I have learned through my journey through injuries to be grateful for the opportunity to move and that movement should be viewed as a privilege. I’ve spent years studying S&C and have developed a special interest in knee injury reduction and rehabilitation. I’ve moved across the world to continue studying and consider myself a lifelong student to the field. I am passionate about applying my knowledge toward helping people achieve their goals, realise their potential, and see the joy and importance in movement. It is extremely rewarding to watch people break down physical barriers and eradicate pain they thought would be there forever.

I believe exercise is medicine, either as a preventative measure or treatment for many health issues that are widespread in Australia today. As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist graduating with a double degree in Exercise Science & Rehabilitation I've worked with a wide variety of people who've suffered from chronic metabolic issues and cardiovascular diseases to professional athletes during my time at the Western Force Rugby Club.

I'm passionate about helping people improve their strength and overall health goals through education on functional movement to improve quality of life.

"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever"

Coming from an active, athletic upbringing, maintaining a good balance and staying fit and healthy has always been important to me.

I've always been fascinated by the human body and what it was capable of.

I used to be quite a shy girl, after starting in the fitness and wellness industry over five years ago, I have gained more confidence in myself. I absolutely love helping people find their balance, gain confidence in themselves and reach their full potential too.

Over the last 5 years, I've met, trained and massaged many amazing people who now move better and are happier, fitter and stronger. I believe massaging is such an incredible tool in relieving aches and pains, injury prevention and recovery helping you to train longer and more efficiently.

'You can't pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first."
